Chris is a game developer, event organizer, speaker, and educator from Brooklyn. His events and games have a strong focus on diversity and inclusion. He's currently working on Breakup Squad, a party game displayed internationally in museums, festivals, and other venues.
Jess is a game designer, writer, and editor specializing in narrative design, worldbuilding, and interactive storytelling. She previously worked at Muse Games on titles including Creavures and Guns of Icarus Online, and served as Creative Director at What Pumpkin Studios. She currently provides game development, writing, and consulting services at Paperback Studio, and organizes NYC Indie Games, a social group for local game developers.
Greetings to Everyone! For those that don't know me, I was raised on consoles and have a deep love for all games. That love drove me to network and socialize within the local development community, which naturally took me down the educational path to obtain a degree in computer science. It was that community that motivated me to pursue and secure my place within this vibrant game development network.
It has been a long, winding yet rewarding road within the industry, yet my intentions remain simple; I would like to pass along that energy and knowledge to all developers to help bolster this fantastic community.
Director of Events and Community Outreach
James has worked in the video game industry for over 17 years with an emphasis on Production, Project Management, and Business Development. A majority of his entire career has been spent right here in New York working on countless projects for multiple companies and working on everything from 1st party commercial games, government contracted serious games, educational games, and licensed properties for the Spike TV, The History Channel, Homestuck, Star Wars, and AMC Network.
He first started at Acclaim Entertainment in the Quality Assurance department as a tester and eventually a QA Project Lead for multiple AAA titles. After Acclaim he's been the producer for a large number of mobile games like Diner Dash, Cooking Dash, Rocky, and Duke Nukem 3D. He's also worked on a variety of PC titles for the History Channel and AMC network. And was the Director of Production at What Pumpkin Studios and working on the Homestuck based adventure game Hiveswap.
James believes we have a great community here, and he want to make sure it not only sustains, but grows!

Brian is a game designer, educator, and event producer. He has nearly 10 years of professional game design experience, and currently helps direct the game development program at Bloomfield College as well as the operations of the game development community organization at The Sheep's Meow.

Adam is a well-traveled 18-year veteran of the industry who joined Avalanche Studios in 2013. He has produced numerous games of all shapes and sizes, including MMOs, budget titles, and plenty of AAA console games. After serving as Design Manager on Darksiders 2 at Vigil Games, he found his home at Avalanche Studios working on Just Cause 3 and Mad Max, and now as the Executive Producer on the next title.

Clara is a game scholar, designer and writer. She specializes in narrative design in games, both in the commercial sphere and research.
Richard "Lord British" Garriott
Richard is a Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement award holder. He is the creator of the Ultima Series, coined the now ubiquitous term "avatar" and MMO's. He is also a private astronaut. Current project is Shroud of the Avatar.

Bill Podurgiel is the Studio Manager of Avalanche Studios in NYC. He has worked on titles ranging from action to MMO and strategy, and actually began his career as an artist before transitioning to production and operations.

Catt is a game maker, product designer, and front-end web developer. She has done design work for companies of all sizes including Bedrocket, NASDAQ OMX, and Scholastic. Catt makes video games with Brooklyn Gamery as well as Buttered Toast Studios and teaches game development with The Code Liberation Foundation.

Greg makes real-world games and playful experiences with Gigantic Mechanic. He also helps run the annual game festival, Come Out & Play.

Glenn completed his Masters Degree in Digital Media from Drexel University with a focus on how structural design can influence a player's decision making process in 3D adventure games.
